Odd Ducks: Thermal Control of Non-Standard Media/Reagent Bottles

Ever try and get odd sized media, reagent bottles or tubes controlled for temperature in an ice bucket or open circulating bath? Or better yet, store them in refrigerators or freezers, retrieve them and pray the sample stays “OK” cooled or heated while you run your application process?

It’s like fitting square objects into round holes or vice versa! Then to complicate matters, you’re connected to an instrument that has precisely measured tubing for accurate volume dispensing and you can’t move or lengthen anything.

We've seen this problem for the past 10+ years and have always wondered why and if the temperature control of the reagents, buffers, or whatever are contained in those odd bottles or tubes would help improve the end results of the applications. If the various plates and smaller tubes are under control, wouldn’t it be nice to have the “feeder”  units cooperating with you and your application? We think so.

MeCour’s designed and produced everything "odd duck" ranging from a 50mL conical tube to a 36 L vessel, and everything in between from 100, 250, and 500mL units to 1 L round and square bottles. Mix and match..500mL round with 100mL tube; twin 1 L bottles, side by side making you happy! Whatever it takes to reset your application to properly work for you.
