MéCour designs thermal chamber for automated H/D exchange system at the Scripps Research Institute
GROVELAND, MA, USA; August 8, 2006 MéCour Temperature Control, LLC, an emerging provider of temperature control solutions for life science applications, has designed a custom thermal chamber being used in an automated H/D exchange system for The Scripps Research Institute.
The custom thermal chamber is held at 1.25°C to control the mobile-phase flow paths so that on-line protein digestion, peptide desalting, and reversed-phase HPLC separation are performed prior to infusion into the ESI ion source of the mass spectrometer.
Additional details of this system and its results are mentioned in a white paper entitled “Probing Protein Ligand Interactions by Automated/Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry” written by The Scripps Research Institute and Florida State University. Download the white paper here.
