This thermal unit allows for multiple types of plates to be used and maintain uniform well-to-well temperature, i.e., one position for a 96-well PCR plate; two positions dedicated for a 96-well V bottom plate; and a fourth position reagent reservoir. Ultimately, you are afforded maximum flexibility on consumables without compromising thermal control.
