The SLAS 2014 show was a great success for MéCour in a number of ways. First and foremost, it was the first opportunity to introduce the “Mé” of MéCour Temperature Control, my oldest daughter Meghan Linehan (pictured at right) to many of MéCour’s loyal customers and friends. To say the very least, she made her Father quite proud. The large amount of consistent booth traffic did not deter her from greeting folks and introducing what MéCour does. She quickly learned the basics on MéCour’s fluid driven, circulator controlled thermal systems and the wide temperature range the company offers with precise, stable and uniform management.
Areas of significant interest to the attendees were, once again, the -65˚C thermal system with live, real time temp displays of the vials (left).
The BioMicroLab XL100 Vial Handler displayed the manipulation of the frozen vials (420 of them) while the Julabo Presto A -80 Chiller circulator powered this thermal system and maintained the -65˚C throughout the show (pictured at right).

A great deal of interest was directed at the Caliper EZ Reader unit with MéCour’s integrated thermal nest that protects the valuable plate samples from evaporation or sample compromise (left picture).
The usual Thermal Units were on display as well, in particular, the increasing number and sizes for the reagent and media bottles, Thermal Plate Stackers and Thermal Hotels.
And of course, the "Odd Ducks" (to represent our ability to configure design specific solutions for our customers) got plenty of love and new homes via the gracious distribution of MéCour. Until next time!
